For providers in health systems who deliver care as part of an augmented virtual care team, this is a proprietary FDA Class 2 hardware product, intuitively connecting local providers to remote specialists in the care of inpatients. Dynamic configuration of service line selection and streamlined workflows ensure the right care is available at the tap of a finger. Collaborative consults are enabled through the utility in livestream peripheral devices for diagnostics, all while being fully mobile to move with ease from room to room.

The hub of many health systems is often centred in a high population area, with majority of specialists and general practitioners centralized for their work.. Communities in remote or regional locations, or even those in urban centres near the hub may need access to services, and do not wish or can not possibly, travel to visit the hub. The Telemedicine cart has many form factors and actively supports a multitude of use cases across a variety of facilities including; hospital, urgent care, pharmacy, school, prison or aged care.

Challenges & Design Solutions

Challenges

  • Providers struggled to easily integrate various medical peripherals during remote consultations, leading to delays in assessments and increased cognitive load.

  • Navigating video call controls while using medical peripherals was challenging for providers, potentially disrupting the consultation flow.

  • Capturing and sharing snapshots of peripheral views with remote specialists was a multi-step process, causing interruptions during consultations.

Design Solutions

  • We designed an interface that enables a seamless connection of peripherals with clear visual indicators for connection status and device readiness. This helps faster assessment setup time, enhancing provider efficiency and reducing patient wait time.

  • An intuitive video call UX with accessible controls for TV, snapshots, and peripheral views allowed providers to manage the call and peripherals simultaneously, enhancing the consultation flow.

  • Our team integrated the one-click snapshot and sharing function, embedded within the video call interface. This reduced the time required for sharing images threefold, resulting in more fluid and focused patient assessments.

Service Line Case Creation

Challenge

Setting up cases for different service lines involved repetitive workflows, making it time-consuming for providers.

Design Solution

Created a streamlined case creation process with preset templates for various service lines, enabling quick customization. This design change improved case setup speed, freeing up more time for direct patient care.
